The United States TaeKwon-do Federation was founded by Choi, Hong Hi, Father of TaeKwon-Do, in Chicago, Illinois. While the U.S.T.F. is now headquartered in Bloomfield CO and led by Gen. Choi's loyal student Grand Master Charles E. Sereff, this rich tradition of American Ch'ang Hon TaeKwon-Do continues to be practiced in this part of the country.
Region V of the U.S.T.F. is comprised of Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Minnesota, and Indiana. Some individual clubs have been members of the U.S.T.F. since its founding, and others are of more recent origin, either having been U.S.T.F. clubs in their origins or having joined with U.S.T.F. having established themselves elsewhere.
In the last ten years there has been a significant re-growth of interest in the original TaeKwon-Do in the Midwest with active clubs, tournaments, seminars and activities. This website can be your guide to U.S.T.F. TaeKwon-Do in Region V.
